Only install Jabby from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Jabby is never offered as a download from a website, a link in a message,
or a file someone sends you. A copy from anywhere else may be fake and
built to steal your money.
Your PIN and codes
- Never tell anyone your Jabby PIN or an SMS code, not even someone who says they work for Jabby or your bank. We will never ask for them.
- Choose a PIN that isn't your birthday, phone number or a simple pattern. Jabby refuses the most common ones.
- After 5 wrong PINs, Jabby locks for a while. After 10, the PIN is wiped and you'll need a new SMS code to set another.
How Jabby protects you
- Your account works on one phone only. If it's set up on another phone, the old one is signed out at once and you get an alert by notification and SMS.
- After a new phone or a PIN reset, payments over Rs. 10,000 are paused for 24 hours.
- Payments of Rs. 10,000 or more need your PIN or fingerprint/face each time.
- Jabby locks itself when you leave the app and after 5 minutes without use.
- You get an alert for large payments and for several payments in a short time.
- Jabby won't run on rooted or jailbroken phones.
Before you pay
- Check the name Jabby shows for the number before you confirm. It comes from their account, not from what someone tells you.
- Jabby warns you the first time you pay someone. Take a moment to check the number.
- Only scan QR codes from people you know. Jabby uses LANKAQR, Sri Lanka's national QR standard.
If something goes wrong
24/7 help line: 077 175 7487. It's also in the app on every receipt, on your QR code and in your account.
- A payment problem: open the payment's receipt and tap Report a problem with this payment. You'll get a reference number, and we reply within 7 working days.
- Lost or stolen phone: call the help line on 077 175 7487 and we'll block it, or sign in to Jabby on any other phone with your number and tap Lost your old phone? Block it. Your old phone stops working straight away.
- An alert you don't recognise: change your PIN in Jabby at once (Account → Change PIN) and contact us.
